What we scan

If it fits on the table, it can probably become a keepsake.

Pet memorial

A keepsake of them

Their tag, collar, or the toy with the chewed corner — scanned and printed as a lasting replica for the shelf.

Baby keepsake

Before they outgrow it

The first shoe, scanned before it's gone. A nursery-shelf keepsake — for display, not for use by the child.

Heirloom replica

Display the replica

The original stays safe; the replica takes the shelf. We never authenticate or appraise — display replicas only.

Replacement part

The broken part is the blueprint

Snapped bracket, discontinued knob — scanned and printed as a best-effort fit. Never OEM, and we say where the risk is first.

Plain steps

Reserve. Scan. Print. Handoff.

No inventory, no spec work — your reservation starts the job.

  1. Reserve $10 deposit locks your session and is credited to your order. Forfeited only if you cancel after scan time is reserved — that's the whole policy.
  2. Scan Bay Area drop-off or a scheduled session. We scan carefully, without modifying the object, and show you the mesh.
  3. Print Printed and finished. You approve the result before handoff — nothing ships that you haven't seen.
  4. Handoff Local pickup preferred (Fridays are the default). Shipping arranged when pickup doesn't work.

Pricing — plain, no asterisks

Honest limits, before you pay

A scan captures shape, not soul.

We'd rather tell you now than surprise you at handoff. These are the limits of the process, stated plainly.

Fine detail softens

Engraving, texture, and stitching flatten in the scan and the print. The form survives; the finest surface detail doesn't. We'll show you the mesh before printing.

Parts are best-effort, not OEM

Printed plastic differs from injection-molded plastic in flex, load, and heat. Not for safety-critical or load-rated uses. If we think it won't work, we say so and return the deposit.

Replicas are for display

We never authenticate, appraise, or certify an original — and a replica implies nothing about value. Patina is color, not geometry; it won't carry over.

Plain answers

Questions, answered honestly.

How does the deposit work?

$10 reserves your scan session and is credited to whatever you order. It's forfeited only if you cancel after scan time is reserved. Reschedule up to 24 hours before your session at no cost.

What size objects work?

If it fits on the scan table, it's probably scannable — tags, shoes, chess pieces, brackets, small sculptures. Send a photo first if you're unsure; we'll tell you honestly before you pay anything.

Do I have to be in the Bay Area?

Local drop-off and pickup are the default (Fridays, usually). Ship-in works by arrangement for the signature tier — email first so we agree on packaging and insurance before anything moves.

Why is the first batch capped at 10?

One scanner and one printer is the whole factory, and every piece gets checked by hand at handoff. The cap is real — when 10 slots are taken, the next batch opens after they're delivered.

When is payment taken?

The deposit is first. The balance is quoted after intake and paid before printing — made to order means your payment funds the print, and nothing is made on spec.
